This blog is a living history of my journey with breast cancer.  I refer to it as ‘navigating life while fighting for a lifetime’. All posts are in my words, and some may be difficult to read/hear, much of it will make you laugh or smile…more importantly I hope it will give you information and hope. As with any sort of a diary, it is written as if I would be telling you the story…

I was diagnosed at 43. Way too young to have this disease – only to find out that many much younger than I am have too heard those life altering words. I was misdiagnosed 6 months earlier when Dr Sidney Semrad told me that the 4 cm mass in my right breast was fibrocystic change and nothing to worry about.

You are welcome to post comments to any of my posts.

Remember God Loves you, and is always there for you!!  Even when you think he is gone, he is just waiting for you to ask him to show up!

One day I was watching “Diary of a Mad Black Woman”. Very funny, and I started thinking, I’m mad, I’m white, and I have cancer…  And so my Story Begins…….

  2. Hi Patti,

Just a quick note to #1 to tell you how super it was to meet you, and be inspired by you. You are the sweetest woman ever and always seems to have a big smile on your face! And # 2 to tell you how excited I am that you are doing so well after surgery. You have in Reed and my prayers each day and also you are on our prayer chain in bible study. Keep up the good work girlie!
